Since 1995, Sungwoo Engineering has been producing and delivering the top class R/C helicopter's rotors.

 

Sungwoo Engineering are producing carbon rotors and glass rotors. The Sungwoo rotor is already well known for its top quality and high-end performance with its more powerful and stable flight to from the many R/C heli flyers to F3C world champions. Mr. Hashimoto, F3C world champion in 1997 and 1999, used the Sungwoo rotors at the competiion.

 

All the rotors produced in the Sungwoo Engineering are handmade products and CG point check and weight-balancing are performed to all the rotors for its quality before releasing so that any dimple and glass imprint on the rotor surface cannot be found.

 

With our accumulated technology and know-how, Sungwoo Engineering is producing top-class rotors, Sungwoo Engineering is supplies so many rotors to the biggist company such as Hirobo in Japan as OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturing), Thunder Tiger, Taya, Kalt, and Heli-max, etc.

The Sungwoo glass rotor is reinforced by carbon to improve its durability and torsional rigidity and it has very glossy surface by pre-paintng work to its inside of the mold.  From 30 class to 60 class, and symmetrical and non-symmetrical airfoils rotors are supplied diversely.

This carbon rotors has stronger durability and rigidity than glass(FRP) rotors.  The SW 660SC and the SW 680SC are suitable for F3C international competitions.  CG point check and weight-balancing are performed to all the rotors for its quality before releasing and from 30 class to 60 class, and symmetrical and non-symmetrical airfoils rotors are supplied diversely.

The Sungwoo carbon tail rotors are applicable to all the 60 class helicopters. If it used with a piezo gyro, a flyer can experience its optimum performance. There are two type tail rotors in production, X-type and Y-type.

The quality and performance of our Sungwoo rotor is different.
 

 

 

1. Pre-painting inside of the mold before layer-up.

2. Decussated laying-up.

 

 

Unlike the general molding and painting procedures, our painting is preceded laying-up the layers in order to stick to firmly as well as to have a nice appearance.

To ensure the strength of the FRP, every fiber glass ply is laminated in decussated with other layers. Sungwoo engineering primarily pursues the quality and the performance of the product than the cost of production.

 

 

3. Safety design for considering accidents.

4. Even one defectives not allowed.

 

 

High carbon steel wire(piano string) is put in all the Sungwoo rotors to keep the flinders of the rotor blades for safety even in flight accidents.  

Before releasing, CG point check and weight-balancing are performed to all the rotors not to a sample for its quality so that the physical properties of the pair has been matched-up.

 

 

5. Customer satisfaction.

Sungwoo Engineering always respects all the customer's opinions and is all ears for customer's satisfaction. Sugnwoo Engineering also do the "Rotor matchup service" as a part of aftersales service. If you have any damaged sungwoo rotor, send its uasble counterpart to us to find its matchup.
